Connectors
No developer needed. Everything else on this site is for someone writing code against our API. A connector is the opposite: you connect an app your firm already uses, in a couple of clicks, and nobody writes anything.
A connector links Magnetic to the practice-management system your firm already works in. Rather than asking you to come to us, we work inside the tool your team already has open all day.
Every connector does the same three things:
Keeps your client list in step. Your clients come across on connection, and stay current afterwards — add or rename one in your system and it updates here. You never maintain the same list twice.
Brings work to us when you start it. A job you begin in your system reaches Magnetic on its own. Documents you attach afterwards follow automatically, so you don't have to wait until everything is gathered before you start.
Sends the finished return back where it came from. The prepared return, workpapers and review notes land on the same job, and the job moves on so it shows up on your board. Nothing to download from us and re-upload.

Connector or API?
Use a connector if the system you work in has one. It takes minutes and needs no engineering.
Use the API if you have something bespoke to connect, or you want control over exactly when and how work reaches us.
They aren't exclusive — a firm can run a connector and still call the API directly for anything the connector doesn't cover.
